Two weeks into the Baseball Youth Road Trip, we made a stop at the USSSA Canes World Series Classic in Miramar, Florida. This two day event was certainly filled with high spirits and more than 80 teams ready for action. The weather was great and the tournament was certainly kicked off the right way. Loud music was played all day to make sure everyone was pumped up for their games.
It was easy to see that all the players were fascinated by all the cool baseball cards, Thunderstix, and video games our sponsors had to offer. The Disney XD booth was constantly at work, handing out Thunderstix and letting the kids dig through the bins for all the great stickers. The MLBPA booth never had less than 20 kids in line, eager to spin the wheel and get a baseball card of their favorite player. And there's no way to forget how popular the Shock Doctor booth was with all the parents in search of great protective gear.
Miramar is a smaller town right outside of Miami. It certainly is a great baseball atmosphere. The crew was even lucky enough to be able to go to a Florida Marlin's baseball game at Landshark Stadium.
It was a great time in Miramar and the East Tour Crew is definitely excited for their next stop in St. Petersburg, Florida at Fossil Park.
