Next on our tour is Chicago and we quickly learned why they call it the windy city! We still managed to have a blast hanging out with the players and their friends at the Stars and Strikes Memorial Classic. We couldn’t agree with Michael more who, while playing Shock Doctor game said , “This is totally wicked, best day ever!!”
During the day we had kids dying to see if they could throw the ball through the D in the Disney XD game and waiting for a chance to play Topps Attax! JaRon won six Topps Attax games in a row before finally being defeated by his older brother who won by one run in an extra inning, he said, “This was the coolest game he had ever played!” Renting the Louisville Slugger bats was a BIG hit as well, the Titans rented three Louisville Slugger bats and run ruled their opponents all three games. When they returned the bats they couldn’t wait to tell us how those bats won the game for them!
We will be in Chi town a few more nights, we have so many sites to see and are planning not only going to the Willis Tower (formally Sears Tower) but we also are planning on going to the zoo to reconnect with our inner child, we can’t wait!! Continue to check out our stops at baseballyouth.com!
