Baseball Youth was excited to get its first taste of international baseball at the Disney’s Salute to Baseball at the Wide World of Sports Complex. International teams that were represented were from the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and even Saudi Arabia! These kids couldn’t get enough free stuff at the Disney Booth. Wristbands were the fan favorite as several kids were loaded from head to toe in Disney Games sweatbands.

The international teams took full advantage of the Louisville Slugger booth where most teams rented the bats that propelled them to victory. Airhead thundersticks were a huge hit as each fan cheered on their teams by banging the sticks together. Most fans couldn’t believe that we were giving away free baseball cards of their favorite players, but each person kept coming back to see if they could get that Albert Pujols Upper Deck card.

The Baseball Youth Road Trip crew was lucky enough to meet a great guy, Scott St. George, who even got the road trip crew free passes into any Disney Theme Park they wanted! The East Road Trip is done in the state of Florida but looks forward to coming back for Disney’s Turn Back the Clock Weekend in late August.
