Nothing like the beach in the summertime and Gulfport, Mississippi made for the perfect first beach stop of the East Coast Tour. We made it to the championship day for the Baseball at the Beach Tournament and all the teams were anxious to get there final games going and hang out with us in our area of the park!
We set up right in the middle of the action, and all the players from the teams and kids at the park had the perfect opportunity to take full advantage of everything Baseball Youth had to offer! The Cajun accents were in full force as a lot of teams from Louisiana made it to this year’s tournaments. Kids swarmed the Disney and Baseball Youth tent, piling up on awesome prizes from Disney and Upper Deck and Topps.
We handed out so many free Airheads candy and prizes it kept us going back and forth to the trailer to stock up. The Louisville Slugger tent was popping again as kids tried on all the new 2009 mitts and batting gloves.
The East Coast Crew has been working hard for all the fans of baseball on the eastside. We will have a few days off now as we head to Panama City Beach, Florida for our first stop in the Sunshine State!
