We finally got some perfect weather on a beautiful Sunday in Cincinnati at the USSSA Baseball Summer Slugfest. It was championship day at Rumpke Park, and all the teams were on edge trying to win the first place title. Lucky for them we were there with all the Baseball Youth Road Trip’s amazing activities to help ease their nerves before and after games.
It was literally non-stop action as kids came pouring in, loading up on baseball cards, prizes, and candy. The Louisville Slugger tent was out of control and we loaned out a record number of bats for the kids to try out in their games…for FREE!
Pack Wars were in full effect this day; we even had some of the kids’ parents getting in on the action, helping out to see if their little slugger won the bigger prize. After the intense pack war games kids spun the big wheel, and walked away with some awesome gear from The Disney Channel, and Airheads. There wasn’t a frown in the crowd today and everyone walked away with tons of awesome prizes and a big smile on their face.
The kids of the tournament are what baseball is all about; with great competition on the field and great fun at the Baseball Youth Road Trip tents, it truly went together to make one awesome day. The East Coast Crew is back on the road and we’re headed to Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia for some more Baseball Youth adventures!
