People call Chicago the windy city, but they apparently haven’t been to Indianapolis, IN. We got set up at the Game Day USA All-American Slugfest in the early morning, and it wasn’t long after that we were fighting off huge gusts of wind trying to keep our tents grounded.
No matter how strong the wind got, it didn’t stop the players from the championship day from cruising over to our area to check out the day’s events. The kids couldn’t get enough of trying out the Louisville Slugger bats in the TPX blow up batting cage. Once they get tired of crushing the ball into the net, they still found time to collect baseball cards and compete in some Backyard Baseball video game tournaments.
Before you knew it the crew was challenging players to a Corn Hole competition on the Airhead boards, we even got to play catch with some of the teams as the checked out the new Louisville Slugger gloves we had on display.
The day wrapped up with 4 championship teams from the different age groups, and a lot of baseball fans with some cool prizes from the Baseball Youth Road Trip tents. What a great baseball atmosphere Indiana had and some awesome competition. Cities like Indianapolis and tournaments like the All-American Slugfest truly make baseball America’s favorite pastime!
