As baseball started for the summer at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex so too did the Baseball Youth Road Trip's West edition. The 36 teams there for Disney's Sun and Surf Baseball Bash were treated to games, prizes, TONS of free baseball cards, brand new Louisville Slugger bats and more. Fun and excitement filled the Wide World of Sports baseball fields.
After a couple days we had kids waiting for us as we arrived early in the morning. These kids were looking for work, and it was fun to watch them interact with the other kids. Our young workers did a great job running the games and handing out prizes. They even gave us ideas to make the experience even better!
The Slugger bats started to disappear as soon as we brought them out. We had amazing responses from the kids and parents that used them. There were several home runs hit and a couple walk-off hits as well. Not a bad way to start the Road Trip.
We're off to Columbia, Missouri for the School's Out at the Lake tournament. Check back for photos and a recap soon!
