After spending a couple days driving from Orlando to St. Louis, it was so nice to set up the Baseball Youth Road Trip and have fun with the kids from Missouri. Driving the 1,000 miles to get there was well worth it as we put on quite a show at the Twin Oaks Sports Complex in Columbia.
We were there for the first night of play in the School's Out in Columbia tournament. At first the kids arriving for their games weren't very sure about what was going on with all the tents, prize wheels, bats and the huge inflatable batting cage. However, once a couple kids came over and heard the words "free games and prizes" we had swarming mobs sprinting over to us. Nothing like a little running and some free baseball cards to get warmed up for a baseball game.
The sponsor booths were always packed as tournament play went on past 8 p.m. We hope the kids enjoyed all their awesome prizes, but the good news is we'll be back in Columbia for even more fun in a couple days. Till then we have a tournament in St. Louis to rock!
