By no means was the Baseball Youth Road Trip in any sort of slump, but that didn't stop us from crashing the party at Session 1 of the Slumpbuster Tournament just outside of Omaha.
The La Vista Sports Complex proved to more than ready for us as we showed up for the annual festival preceding the beginning of game play. In between turns in the moon jump, and standing in line for Hawaiian Ice, the kids eagerly awaited their chance to find their favorite players on Upper Deck and Topps cards.
The night ended with a bang, as a bundle of old bats were set a fire a midst an impressive display of fireworks. Whether or not any slumps were busted still remained to be seen, but it's safe to say, Omaha is ready for a good two weeks of baseball.
