Session 2 of the Slumpbuster saw the Road Trip back in Council Bluffs, but this time with the 13 and 14 year old teams in attendance.
No matter the age, kids still love Airheads, but the focus in the inflatable batting cage changed considerably. With many of the fourteen year-olds starting to think about high school ball next fall, the -3oz Triton model was in high demand, as well as the H2 Hybrid from Louisville Slugger.
Many of the ball players raved about the solid feel of the H2, but did not report any of the 'give' that they had experienced with other composite bats when swinging at high speeds.
The night also featured great live music from The Special Effects, and a nice visit from our buddy Scott St. George at Disney. Another busy weekend lies ahead in Omaha, but we'll be out at Rosenblatt as often as we can. If you don't know who to root for, get behind Stanford.
