The Council Bluffs Recreation Complex has been the official park for the Baseball Youth Road Trip during our stay in the Midwest. This time we visited the Road to Rosenblatt tournament, featuring close to 60 teams from around the area.
We set up early in the morning, and by the time we had everything ready there were kids lining up to see what was happening. The prize wheels were packed the entire time we were there, and the Louisville Slugger batting cage had a steady flow of players trying out the newest bats. It was awesome to hear the kids' gasps when they saw the bats. Some players even dropped their bags and took off running for the Slugger tent.
For the Road Trip, the highlight of the tournament had to be when a TV crew from the NBC affiliate in Omaha took footage of the action. We even made the 6 o'clock news in Omaha with a spinning prize wheel and a pan across the FanFest area.
We had a great time in Council Bluffs! Thanks for such a great time!
