July 18: Pee Wee Reese South Plains Regional Tourney - Moriarty, NM
Here with the West Coast crew, we get the chance to go to a lot of big cities we have never been to before. However every now and then we find some hidden gems in these small towns that we travel to.
The story was no different for Moriarty, New Mexico where we got to meet some awesome kids who represent the sport of baseball at the highest level. We had a blast at the Pee Wee Reese South Plains Regional, and so did all the kids who got to fill up with the outstanding prizes we brought with us.
One thing we learned about New Mexico is that the weather is unpredictable. Everything seemed calm until out of nowhere huge gusts of wind came, blowing our tents out of the ground and onto the baseball field mid-game! Luckily the players from the Santa Fe Extreme were there, and were nice enough to help us gather all of our gear. The kids of the Pee Wee Reese tournament were a class act and we are blessed to have gotten the chance to meet them.
The West Coast Crew now has a 900-mile road trip to California and to the land where dreams come true, Los Angeles. Check back soon for more updates as the Baseball Youth Road Trip makes It to it’s second ocean of the summer!
